"TIEN EN SHI" TEMPLE.

"Tien En Shi" temple is the largest Chinese Temple in S1BU and the largest in South East Asia. Located at mile 16,Jalan Ulu Oya, Sibu outside the Central Business District areas of S1Bu and will open for workship on 5th November 2009. The design concept of this temple is Chinese Cultural & religion and 4 separate building with huge halls. Very impressively landscaped with trees from India, fish pond and most of the building decorative items are from mainland China. It's a must visit place of attraction in S1bu. Visit this Temple and you get the Feelings!

3. The Present.

Besides the above Chinese Temples (biggest and Oldest), S1BU had a few more big & small Chinese Temples and the ones which worth visiting like the one mentioned below...the theme Chinese Temple ("The Tiger Emperor Temple") and other 3 more big Chinese Temples ("Tan Hua Fu"," Ba Wan Kun" & "Miew Lee Tang") around in the Central Town District and out skirt areas. The Temples can be said to be quite a big one especially its size and the design is traditional Chinese. It's not cheap to build temples especially all the decor are from aboard and cost of building these temple & landscape might run into millions (Ringgit Malaysia)

THE TIGER EMPEROR TEMPLE.

This is a very special temple and the theme of this temple is "Tiger", the Tiger God. Located at the junction of Jalan Bukit Aup and Jalan Teku, Sibu and the shape of the building Temple is just like a cave. You can find Huge statue of Tiger dressed in the ancient warrior costume and about 20 feet high each . It's awesome and scary, too. I think it's the only themed Temple in S1BU. Got a few pics to share with You.

With all these interesting Temples and maybe the State Tourism board or travel agencies can organise a small Religion Tourism tour in S1BU.
